    Job Purpose:

    Reporting to the LA Superintendent, the Regional Campus Operations Manager performs the following duties in partnership with the Director of Operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct monthly walk throughs at each school meeting LCAP, LAUSD, Charter, & State regulations. 
    • Coordination of maintenance, repair, and improvements to facilities at each school site. 
    • Work with school leaders to ensure cleanliness of the schools.
    • Meet quarterly with maintenance staff to ensure their needs and the needs of the school are met. 
    • Coordinate with maintenance staff (school site) to ensure overall cleanliness of school. 
    • Assist each school site with the implementation of School Safety Plans. 
    • Submit Insurance Certificate requests as needed. Request insurance certificates for all leases/properties to submit to LAUSD at the beginning of each school year. 
    • Sustain data management and communication systems that enhance organizational effectiveness 
    • Administer the operations of facilities management, student transportation, project management, school security, compliance reporting, and emergency management. 
    • Develop organizational systems in each school site to reflect their roles in the support of the vision, mission, and values of the organization 
    • Oversee and manage capital improvement process at as needed. 
    • Build the capacity of each school site to manage facilities repairs and maintenance. 
    • Work with the Regional Superintendent to keep with school site’s facilities budget 
    • Communicate regularly with key personnel within the LAUSD’s central office to ensure efficient and reliable service provision across various operational functions (e.g., food service, transportation, facility maintenance). 
    • Facilitate competitive bidding process to secure purchasing agreements that maximize cost savings and quality of services for initial turnaround school. 
    • Approve all school operational vendors after vetting them by performing verification of licenses, insurance requirements, references, and interviews. 
    • Design and manage a standard procurement and inventory tracking practice that will ensure complete command and control of school property. 
    • Develop and refine standard practices for core recurring school operations-related activities and routines (e.g., test administration, student meal tracking, and student enrollment). 
    • Serve as a business partner to the Regional Superintendent in the management all operational aspects, including: Administration; Finance (i.e., financial reporting, budget analysis, ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices and expense reports); Grants Management (i.e., manage accurate and on-time reporting to external funders); Professional Development (i.e., plan and design weekly team meetings and two to three staff retreats per year, maintain a positive and professional culture); Technology (i.e., work with technology support team to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of technology systems and hardware) 
    • Manage the assignment and distribution of personnel, provide ongoing reviews of organization structure, staffing, and departmental policies and procedures. Oversee the performance evaluation process of all assigned personnel. Evaluate subordinate administrative and assigned personnel. 
    • Regular attendance, dependability and punctuality in conformance with the standards is essential to the successful performance of this position. 
    • Assist with the planning, marketing, and implementation of regional and school events including graduations, celebrations of learning, and the annual family fest.
    • Assist schools with the implementation of locally developed fundraising plans
    • Coordinates with Regional Superintendent and school site operations personnel to ensure compliant and successful yearly LAUSD visit 
    • Coordinates with the external webmaster to update and maintain school site web pages.
    • Helps coordinate and implement student recruitment plans for school sites as requested.

    Qualifications

    Experience, Education & Skills Qualifications:

    • Must be proficient in Word and Excel 
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred 
    • Detail oriented 
    • Ability to multi-task 
    • 3+ years management experience 
    • Customer Service oriented 
    • Ability to interface with various levels in the organization 
    • Ability to adapt to a fast paced transforming environment 
    • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to kneel, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below. Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which may include gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.
