    Job Purpose

    Provides secretarial, general office and administrative support to the Director of College Access & Financial Aid and other regional office staff.



    • Assist Director of College Access & Financial Aid with day-to-day activities 
    • Support development and implementation of PUC-Wide college counseling related events (i.e. - College Field trips, PUC-Wide Major & Career Event, Etc.)
    • Respond to general inquiries in a timely manner concerning related activities
    • Compose, type, copy, file, and fax correspondence
    • Answer phones
    • Interface with various school sites and external organizations
    • Coordinate projects
    • Regular attendance, dependability and punctuality in conformance with the standards are essential to the successful performance of this position
    • Pull data and submit Performance Operation Management (POM) tasks on a monthly basis through PUC portal
    • Maintain monthly scholarship newsletter and Naviance scholarship database
    • Assist Director of College Access & Financial Aid with conducting Parent Workshops on College Knowledge, Financial Aid, ECHS, etc.
    • Recruit school counseling graduate students from local colleges and universities to conduct their fieldwork/internship hours through PUC Schools’ School/College Counseling Internship program

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
    • 1-3 years clerical/office experience preferred 
    • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Must be accurate, detail-oriented, and well organized
    • Must be proactive, take initiative, and work effectively in teams as well as independently
    • Ability to multi-task on several projects and tasks 
    • Adaptability
    • Maturity and integrity to handle sensitive or confidential tasks and information
    • Self-starter, self-disciplined, and the ability to work unsupervised
    • Detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
    • Great customer service skills 
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills 
    • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred 
    • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to kneel, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below. Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which may include gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.

    Salary & Benefits

    • $13.50 - $15.00 an hour (depending upon experience)
