Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) is a non-profit charter school management organization designed to significantly increase college entrance and graduation rates for underserved students in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.
Our mission at PUC Schools is to develop and manage high quality charter schools in densely populated urban communities with overcrowded and low achieving schools. We uplift and revitalize communities through the development of educational and other supportive partnerships.


The PUC Parent Center child care facility is looking for a caring, compassionate Child Care worker who has experience caring for children ages one to three years. We are committed to providing top quality care and education for students who are enrolled in our program. Our goal is to enhance the lives of every child that attends our facility.   • Develop a cleaning routine throughout the day that keeps all of the interactive areas sanitary and safe
  • Monitor children during activities and interact with the children to enhance their learning
  • Work with staff to maintain communication with parents and contact parents in emergency situations

  • Dependability and punctuality in conformance with the standards is essential to the successful performance of this position


  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Completion of 12 ECE units preferred
  • 3+ years’ child care experience or equivalent
  • Must possess valid CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening required
  • Caring and compassionate attitude a must
  • Occasionally required to kneel, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below. Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which may include gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.



Salary & Benefits


  • On-Call (2-3 hours at a time)
  • $12-15 per hour based on experience
